Vladimir Norov meets with the Minister of Agriculture of Latvia
On August 19, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with the Minister of Agriculture of Latvia, Co-Chairman of Uzbekistan – Latvia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Kaspars Gerhards.
The current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Latvia in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian, agricultural and other spheres were discussed at the meeting.
Kaspars Gerhards noted that the Latvian side supports the large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in all spheres of society.
The parties exchanged views on the active promotion of economic diplomacy through the implementation of joint investment projects involving leading Latvian companies, increasing the export of agricultural products of Uzbekistan to the Latvian market, strengthening direct contacts between the businesspeople of the two countries.
Current issues of interaction between the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations were also discussed at the meeting.
