Visit of Uzbekistan Delegation to Italy
 
On October 14-15, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov paid a visit to Rome to participate in the “Aqaba Process 2025” meeting. The event brought together heads of state, members of government, and high-ranking officials to discuss pressing issues of global and regional security.
Within the framework of the meeting, productive exchanges were held with a number of heads of state, ministers, and senior delegates. The participants shared views on strengthening cooperation in ensuring security, stability, and sustainable development. Uzbekistan reaffirmed its firm commitment to contributing to the joint efforts of the international community aimed at promoting peace and sustainable progress.
During the visit to Rome, Foreign Minister Saidov had a productive conversation with the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giorgia Meloni. The parties underlined the steady and positive dynamics of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Italy. They discussed ways to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation across all areas and to advance new promising projects.
At the meeting with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the sincere greetings of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev were conveyed. The conversation once again reaffirmed the enduring friendship, mutual respect, and trust that form the foundation of relations between the two countries. The sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, as well as to intensify dialogue at the level of foreign ministries.
Talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Antonio Tajani were held in an open and constructive atmosphere. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian domains.
At the conclusion of the meetings, Uzbekistan Foreign Minister emphasized that Italy holds a special place as one of Uzbekistan’s most important and reliable partners in Europe.
