Uzbekistan’s FM meets with the Deputy National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of India

 Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held talks with Deputy National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Vikram Misri, who arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the 17th meeting of the SCO Security Council Secretaries.

The parties noted with satisfaction the breakthrough achieved in the development of Uzbekistan – India relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation, which became possible thanks to a trusting dialogue and practical efforts of the Leaders of the two countries.

Views were exchanged on the current situation in the world and the region. Vikram Misri welcomed Uzbekistan's active steps to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, the implementation of infrastructure, transport and energy projects in this country aimed at its economic recovery.

An agreement was reached on increasing cooperation through international institutions. Special attention was paid to the organizational aspects of the upcoming events within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The Indian delegation informed about its readiness to provide all possible assistance in the implementation of the priorities of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the SCO.
