The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Saifuddin Abdullah on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, it is noted that in recent years a solid foundation has been created for a significant intensification of political dialogue, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia. Close and constructive interaction of the parties within the framework of international organizations is emphasized. Confidence is expressed in further deepening collaboration in all areas of mutual interest.

Malaysia was one of the co-sponsors of the UN General Assembly Resolution “Strengthening regional and international cooperation to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in the Central Asian region”, initiated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
