Uzbekistan Deputy FM meets with the UNHCR Representative for Central Asia

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met with the UNHCR Representative for Central Asia Hans Schodder.

The parties considered the current issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UNHCR.

Hans Schodder highly appreciated the experience of Uzbekistan in regulating relations in the field of citizenship, including the adoption of the Law “On Citizenship of the Republic of Uzbekistan” in a new edition.

The parties exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan. Hans Schodder expressed his gratitude to the Uzbek side for the UNHCR’s all possible assistance in delivering humanitarian cargo to this country.
