Uzbek-Georgian Political Consultations

 

On October 13, 2025, the next round of Uzbek-Georgian inter-ministerial political consultations was held in Tashkent.

The delegations of the parties were headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Aleksandr Khvtisiashvili.

During the consultations, a detailed exchange of views took place on the broad agenda of Uzbek-Georgian relations, the implementation of the agreements reached following the high-level visits was reviewed, and priority areas for the development of cooperation for the near future were identified. Special attention was paid to the schedule of upcoming events at various levels.

Mutual interest in deepening practical cooperation in the political, trade-economic, transport-logistics, and cultural-humanitarian spheres was confirmed.

The parties agreed to take additional measures to increase the volume of bilateral trade and implement joint projects in such areas as logistics, transport, agriculture, tourism, and education.

Special attention was paid to improving the legal framework of bilateral relations and strengthening interaction within the framework of international organizations.
