 Question: The delegation of Uzbekistan took part in the high-level week of the UN General Assembly. What are the main outcomes of the Uzbekistan delegation’s visit to New York?

Answer:  

The high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly turned out to be very productive for the diplomacy of Uzbekistan.

The delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country held over 50 bilateral meetings, took part in more than 10 multilateral events with the participation of international organizations, and made statements.

15 documents aimed at developing cooperation in various fields were signed.

Following the meetings and negotiations, several agreements were reached. The relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have already begun work on their implementation.

Diplomatic relations have been established with 7 countries (Cabo Verde, Seychelles, Burundi, Botswana, Liberia, Togo, Bahamas).

All of it indicates that the diplomacy of the New Uzbekistan is expanding.

Question: Could you comment on the attack on the residence of the UAE Ambassador in Khartoum?

Answer:  

The attack on the residence of the Head of the United Arab Emirates diplomatic mission in the capital of Sudan is certainly unacceptable.

Any actions that pose a threat to the life and health of employees of diplomatic missions are unacceptable.

It is important to strictly respect the inviolability of the premises of diplomatic missions and adhere to the norms governing diplomatic activity.

Question: We are seeing an escalation of the situation in the Middle East. What measures are being taken to protect our citizens in this region?

Answer:

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel is working in an enhanced mode, maintaining contact with the state authorities, as well as our compatriots in this country.

Recommendations on personal safety are being distributed on the website and the Embassy's social media pages, in particular, the need to take refuge in bomb shelters during rocket attacks, follow official reports, always have identification documents and contact information of the Embassy of Uzbekistan.

Citizens who need help or advice can contact the diplomatic mission 24/7 at the numbers distributed through social networks.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is constantly monitoring the situation.
