The meeting with the Ambassador of Switzerland
On October 9, 2025, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Munira Aminova met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Uzbekistan Konstantin Obolensky.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Uzbek–Swiss cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the development of economic partnership, the expansion of multilateral relations, and the strengthening of regional integration.
The parties noted Switzerland’s constructive contribution in providing financial and technical assistance for the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan in the fields of water management, education, digitalization, and ecology.
The importance of continuing joint initiatives within the framework of the “Blue Peace Central Asia” program was emphasized, as well as cooperation in education, in particular with the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation and leading Swiss universities, aimed at training qualified specialists and promoting academic exchanges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.
