The Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Iran held a phone conversation
On June 20, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had a phone conversation with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Senator of Pakistan.
During the conversation, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan expressed sincere appreciation for the letter of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, acknowledging the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran and commending Pakistan’s active mediation efforts throughout the process.
The parties voiced confidence that the next stages of the process will proceed in a constructive spirit and that the effective implementation of the understandings reached will further strengthen regional security and stability, and mutual trust.
Agreed to maintain close, trust-based, and regular dialogue between their foreign ministries in the interest of further deepening the strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries.
