The First Consular Consultations between Uzbekistan and Austria
The first consular consultations between the Consular services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Austria took place in Vienna.
During the talks, the parties discussed acute topics of bilateral cooperation and reached the following agreements:
- continue negotiations on the draft Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Migration and Mobility in order to further develop cooperation in this area;
- develop an intergovernmental agreement on visa issuance procedures for holders of diplomatic passports;
- review the issue of recognizing apostles issued by the competent authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- consider the possibility of processing visas for citizens of Uzbekistan through the diplomatic mission of Austria in Astana.
The parties emphasized that these consultations would contribute to the further strengthening of consular and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
