On April 14, 2023 in Samarkand, on the sidelines of a meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers and a Ministerial meeting in the format "Central Asia – Russia", Acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin.

The parties exchanged views on various aspects of the Uzbekistan  - Tajikistan relations of strategic partnership and good-neighborliness, which has risen to a qualitatively new level in recent years.
