The delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs held a series of meetings in New York
 
Following the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to New York, the delegation of our country headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, continued its active work on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs held more than twenty meetings with the heads of foreign ministries of various countries, including Albania, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Ukraine, Algeria, Tajikistan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Egypt, Mongolia, Bahrain, Serbia, the United States, and others. With a number of states, protocols on interagency cooperation were signed, and a historic ceremony was held to establish diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Palau.
In addition, a number of substantive meetings were held with the heads of international and regional organizations. The discussions focused on strengthening political dialogue, ensuring regional stability and security, expanding strategic and economic cooperation, and deepening cultural and humanitarian interaction.
The delegation of the MFA of Uzbekistan also took part in several high-level events, including the UN Security Council Open Debate on Artificial intelligence and international peace and security, the Annual Coordination Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the OIC, the High-Level International Conference on the Repatriation of Persons from Al-Hol, Surrounding Camps and Places of Detention, as well as the Informal Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
