The delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan is participating in the 79th session of the UN General Assembly

 The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Saidov, these days in New York is participating in the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly and conducting a number of bilateral and multilateral meetings.

On the eve and on the margins of the Session, bilateral negotiations were held with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the following countries: Egypt, Iran, Albania, Latvia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Vietnam, Cuba, Malta, Portugal, Serbia, Oman, Cabo Verde, Seychelles, as well as with the leadership of the organizations "Project C.U.R.E." and Islamic Relief USA.

At the meetings, issues of developing and strengthening cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, schedules of upcoming events in various formats, current topics on the regional and global agenda, and much more were discussed.

Following the meetings, the following documents were signed:

- Agreement on visa exemption for the holders of diplomatic passports with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania;

 - Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta on political consultations; 

 - Agreement on Economic Partnership between Uzbekistan and Portugal;

- Agreement on visa exemption for the holders of diplomatic passports with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia;

- Joint Communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Cabo Verde;

- Joint Communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Seychelles.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan also gave a speech at the Summit of Future and the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement. In his speech, B.Saidov announced a historical milestone – 

Uzbekistan's plans to host the 20th Summit and chair the Movement for 2027-2029 focusing on key priorities like energy security, sustainable development, and enhancing global trade systems. Uzbekistan's commitment to foster peace, address climate change, and support a new generation through education was emphasized.
