Tashkent hosts Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Inter-MFA Consultations
On January 17, 2022, Tashkent hosted political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
Uzbekistan delegation was led by the Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov and Turkmenistan delegation – by the Deputy Foreign Minister Berdi Matiyev.
Participants discussed current issues of relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, water management, energy, transport and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The parties exchanged views on the situation in the region, the existing challenges and threats to security, as well as the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations.
