On November 30, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee Wang Xiaohui in Chengdu (PRC).

During the meeting, the parties agreed to establish the Navoi-Sichuan Industrial Park in the city of Navoi. The agenda also included discussions on supporting more intensive and regular contacts between business communities, creating the most favorable conditions for companies to operate in each other's markets, maintaining regular exchanges, and implementing new promising joint projects.
