Negotiations at the Ministry of the Armed Forces of France
Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held talks with Deputy Director General for International Relations and Strategy of the French Ministry of Defense, Luc De Rancourt.
The current situation in Afghanistan and prospects for its development, as well as the efforts of the two countries to resolve the Afghan crisis, were discussed during the conversation.
The French side highly appreciated Uzbekistan's assistance in the evacuation of citizens of France and other EU member states from Afghanistan.
The main attention was paid to the provision of humanitarian and other assistance to the Afghan people. In this context, the French side welcomed Uzbekistan's initiative to establish a humanitarian hub in Termez to assist the people of Afghanistan.
Luc De Rancourt informed about the readiness of the French partners to continue to actively cooperate with Uzbekistan in the establishment of long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.
