Meeting with the Special Representative of the Japanese Foreign Ministry for Central Asia
On October 5, 2024, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Khaydarov held a meeting with Deputy Director General of the Bureau of European Affairs, Special Representative of the Japanese Foreign Ministry for Central Asia Masaki Ishikawa.
The parties reviewed current aspects of the agenda of the Uzbek-Japanese strategic partnership, which has demonstrated positive dynamics in recent years.
The importance of comprehensive implementation of previously reached agreements, continuing consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, and effectively using the established mechanisms of interaction in the trade, economic and humanitarian spheres was emphasized.
An exchange of views took place on expanding contacts in the field of training and retraining of personnel, tourism and culture, as well as on the schedule of upcoming events at various levels.
