On April 20, 2023, Acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania Daniel Cristian Ciobanu.

During the conversation, parties discussed the current state and priority directions of further development of Uzbek-Romanian relations. They paid special attention to the active promotion of economic diplomacy and also exchanged views on building up cultural and humanitarian ties.

The sides considered proposals on the schedule and organizational aspects of the planned contacts, including the next round of consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Romania.
