Meeting with Foreign Minister of Iran

 

On June 24, 2024, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev, who arrived in Tehran to participate in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue member countries, held a meeting with the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Bagheri.

The state and prospects of bilateral relations in various spheres were discussed at the negotiations. Particular attention was paid to the cooperation of two countries in the trade and economic sphere, including the intensification of ties between the regions of two countries.

Issues related to the implementation of interregional transport and logistics projects aimed at increasing the volume of mutual trade turnover and intensifying trade and economic relations were discussed. The importance of developing partnerships in the cultural, humanitarian and tourism fields was stated.

An exchange of views also took place on certain aspects of the international and regional agenda, including on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue.
