On June 26, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi. At the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan and Oman are bound with rich historical ties and cultural heritage, share common vision for the prosperous development.  The issues of enhancing bilateral cooperation, including trade and economics, green energy, connectivity, capacity building, people-to-people ties, regional and global agenda were also discussed. Following the meeting, the Ministers signed the Agreement on visa exception for diplomatic passport holders.
