On May 21, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov with the ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SCO member states was received by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Minister delivered the warmest greetings on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. At the meeting, the parties underscored the large-scale work being undertaken during Kazakhstan chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to ensure the comprehensive content of the upcoming Summit in Astana. It was noted that the representatives of Uzbekistan at various levels have been actively taking part in all meetings of the SCO bodies, conferences, forums and other events.
