On July 22, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had  a phone call with Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.  

On behalf of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan once again expressed condolences on the passing of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Nguyen Phu Trong.  

Ministers noted that there are many opportunities that our nations can utilize to enrich bilateral ties, foster dynamic cooperation, and build new connecting bridges in all areas.  

The parties discussed upcoming high-level exchanges, boosting economic ties, investment facilitation. Ministers highly appreciate the close partnership established between Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
