On May 20, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed the deep sadness after learning about the fatal helicopter crash carrying the President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other officials of the Iranian government. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the minister conveyed deepest condolences to the close ones of the victims and all the people of Iran.
