Foreign Minister led Uzbekistan delegation visited Qatar
 
On September 14, 2025, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov participated in a preparatory Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Joint Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to discuss the recent Israeli attack on the State of Qatar..
The agenda focused on current regional and global challenges, new threats to peace, and the paramount importance of dialogue and negotiations.
The Uzbek Foreign Minister highly appreciated Qatar's consistent and tireless efforts to strengthen lasting peace and prosperity in the region through diplomacy, emphasizing Uzbekistan's unwavering commitment to resolving all disputes exclusively through peaceful means.
On September 15, 2025, during the Emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, the Statement by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was delivered to the summit participants.
In his speech, the President expressed Uzbekistan's firm solidarity with the brotherly people of Qatar and all Muslim countries, strongly condemning the recent military aggression that threatens peace and security in the Middle East.
Uzbekistan reaffirmed its unwavering position:
- all conflicts must be resolved peacefully and through diplomacy;
- the international community must take urgent measures to stop violence and prevent further escalation;
- the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to establish their independent state in line with UN resolutions must be respected;
- Uzbekistan stands ready to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected, as already demonstrated by hosting and supporting a group of Palestinian citizens in our country.
The summit reaffirmed its role as an important platform for demonstrating unity and developing joint solutions in the interests of lasting peace and stability in the region.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan held a number of bilateral meetings.
During the talks with Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, the parties discussed deepening regional cooperation, developing economic and cultural ties, and working together to address common challenges. They confirmed their intention to strengthen their strategic partnership and allied relations, promoting peace, stability, and good-neighborliness in Central Asia.
With Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov the dynamic development of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan relations, key regional and global issues, and new areas of cooperation were discussed.
