On September 18, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev received the Regional Director for the IOM Regional Office for South-Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Manfred Profazi.

Parties discussed current issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and IOM, exchanged views on the further development of bilateral cooperation in the areas of ensuring the rights of migrant workers, combating human trafficking, as well as considered the prospects for the implementation of new projects in Uzbekistan by the IOM Representative Office in Tashkent.
