On March 13, 2023, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Isabelle Dumont, Adviser to the President of the French Republic.

During the negotiations, the sides considered the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France on November 21-22, 2022. The parties discussed issues of strengthening Uzbek-French cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and other fields, proposals for boosting ties in the field of education and tourism. They also exchanged views on the schedule and organizational aspects of the upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels and formats.
