Acting FM Bakhtiyor Saidov received the UNDP Permanent Representative Matilda Dimovska
On February 10, 2023 Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Uzbekistan Matilda Dimovska.
The sides exchanged the views on the main areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UNDP, as well as the expansion of its project activity in our country.
Matilda Dimovska emphasized that UNDP is committed to establishing close cooperation with Uzbekistan in the implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, which fully resembles the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The mutual readiness of the parties to further develop cooperation in the field of combating climate change and protecting the environment, switching to renewable energy sources, and implementing socio-economic programs in the Aral Sea region was also confirmed.
The importance of developing joint projects aimed at improving human capital, ensuring gender equality and fighting corruption was underscored.
