Urumqi hosted the first Uzbek-Chinese interregional forum

On January 22, 2024, the opening ceremony of the first Uzbekistan-China interregional forum took place in Urumqi.
Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev, governors of the regions of Uzbekistan and provinces of the PRC, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, as well as more than 1 200 representatives of the business communities of the two countries attended the forum.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov in his speech informed the participants of the event about the main directions, results achieved and prospects for the further development of Uzbekistan-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
On the sidelines of the forum, “B2B” and “G2B” meetings are organized, and as a result, it is planned to sign a solid package of trade contracts and investment agreements.
The exhibition “Made in Uzbekistan” was also held as part of the forum, the main goal of which is to widely familiarize Chinese business circles with the production, export and investment potential of Uzbekistan.
