On October 10, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov visited the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The head of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan took part in the 27th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization, held in Shusha.

The foreign ministers of the ECO member countries summed up the Organization's achievements over the past year and outlined the main priorities of interaction for the next year. Special attention was paid to preparations for the upcoming Summit of the Organization in November of this year in Tashkent.

The Minister met with the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Khusraw Noziri. The parties considered a number of topical issues of interaction, paying special attention to the agenda and organizational aspects of the upcoming 16th ECO Summit.

Bakhtiyor Saidov also held talks with Pakistani Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani. The ministers noted with satisfaction that the Uzbekistan-Pakistan strategic partnership is steadily strengthening. An exchange of views took place on further expansion of cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, aimed at enriching mutually beneficial ties.
