Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan met with the Ambassador of Qatar

On February 15, 2024, Special Representative of President for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Uzbekistan Hassan Hamza Assad Muhammad Hoshim.
The parties discussed the current state of Uzbek-Qatar cooperation on Afghanistan. Mutual interest in maintaining regular dialogue in this direction was emphasized.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the upcoming meeting of special representatives for Afghanistan in February, which will be chaired by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in the capital of Qatar, Doha.
The sides noted that this event will play an important role in coordinating the actions of the world community to find effective solutions to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan, as well as providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
