Riyadh hosted the political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia

 

The fifth round of political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia took place in Riyadh. The delegations were headed by the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev and the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Waleed El Khereiji.

During the negotiations, the parties reviewed the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level. Issues of intensifying political dialogue, developing ties in trade, economic, investment, transport, cultural, humanitarian, and other spheres were discussed. Mutual interest was expressed in strengthening inter-parliamentary contacts and expanding the legal framework for interaction.

The parties noted positive trends in the development of bilateral relations and confirmed their readiness to mobilize all resources to further deepen the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to the schedule and organizational aspects of upcoming bilateral and interregional joint events, including in the “Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council” format.

An exchange of views on current international and regional issues also took place.
