On November 29, 2023, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Jonatan Vseviov.

The sides exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan. They emphasized the need to consolidate the efforts of the international community, in the Afghan direction, especially on the issue of providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

Mr. Vseviov noted the active participation of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.

The parties expressed mutual interest in continuing bilateral consultations on Afghan issues.
