On November 27, 2023, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France Aurelia Bouchez.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Uzbekistan-France relations in the Afghan direction, as well as the development of the current situation in Afghanistan.

The sides focused particular attention on the issues of ensuring regional security and cooperation in resolving the Afghan situation.

Ambassador of France emphasized the significant role of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term peace and the economic restoration of Afghanistan, as well as involving the country into regional integration processes.
