Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov held a meeting with UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Regina De Dominicis.
The sides discussed the current issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and UNICEF, which in recent years have acquired new dynamics.
Madam Dominicis emphasized that UNICEF supports the goals and objectives of the Development Strategy “Uzbekistan – 2030”, which are fully consistent with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. UNICEF’s readiness to continue close cooperation in the implementation of the Strategy, primarily in the field of support for motherhood and childhood, was noted.
The parties also exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming joint events.
