Kazan hosted the meeting of the Moscow format of consultations on Afghanistan
September 29, 2023, in Kazan, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev took part in the meeting of the Moscow format of consultations on Afghanistan.
Special representatives of Uzbekistan, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Russia participated in the meeting. The Afghan delegation was represented by the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi. Representatives of the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye also attended the meeting as guests.
The parties discussed international efforts to resolve the Afghan crisis and provide the country with humanitarian and other assistance as quickly as possible.
