On April 15, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud. 

The sides focused on bringing new promising chapters to dynamically expanding bilateral multi-faceted cooperation and comprehensive partnership. Regional developments and engagements on multilateral platforms were also on the agenda of the meeting. 

Ministers signed the Intergovernmental Agreement on the mutual short stay visa exemption for diplomatic and special passport holders.
