Dushanbe hosts a meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian countries

 

On May 13, 2022, Uzbekistan delegation led by Acting Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov took part in a regular meeting of the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries, in Dushanbe.

The participants considered a wide range of current issues of regional cooperation, including the economics, improving the effectiveness of cooperation in trade and investment, transport and transit, ensuring regional security and joint struggle against modern challenges and threats.

The parties also exchanged views on issues related to the preparation and holding of the next, fourth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States.

It was stressed that the Treaty of Friendship, Good-Neighborliness and Cooperation for the Development of Central Asia in the 21st century, planned to be signed within the framework of the upcoming summit, will serve as the beginning of a new era of cooperation between the countries of the region.

The parties expressed a common opinion that dynamic and mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries of the region fully corresponds to the idea of ensuring sustainable development and common prosperity of Central Asia.
