On February 27, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic Aurelia Bouchez.

During the negotiations, the sides emphasized the importance of fully implementing all agreements reached within the framework of negotiations between the leaders of Uzbekistan and France.

The parties discussed the current issues on the Uzbekistan-France agenda. Proposals to strengthen inter-parliamentary dialogue, expand the legal framework for interaction, and deepen cultural, humanitarian, and educational exchanges were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the active promotion of economic diplomacy. In this context, Deputy Minister and Ambassador exchanged views on holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the implementation of joint investment projects with leading French companies, in particular “Semmaris”, “Suez”, “Alstom” and etc.
