Development strategy of New Uzbekistan at the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly

 

Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov in his speech at the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly focused on the large-scale and dynamic democratic reforms carried out in the country in recent years.

Information is provided on the implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, which was developed based on the results of the reforms implemented in our country over the previous five years.

It was noted that this program document is aimed at deepening the democratic processes, ensuring the rule of law, and improving the living standards of people. In addition, the Strategy is designed to advance comprehensive implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

In particular, by 2030 Uzbekistan intends to halve the level of poverty, increase the effectiveness of the social protection system to respond all those in need, strengthen food security, and become one of the world’s upper middle-income countries.

The attention of the participants of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly is drawn to the Constitutional Reform being implemented in our country. It was emphasized that the main meaning and content of the reform is the principle "For human honor and dignity ".
